$21.09–$21.59/hour
Campbell Hall is looking for a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our nursing team. If you're someone who finds meaning in hands-on care and building real connections with residents, we'd like to meet you.
As a CNA, you'll be the eyes and ears on the floor—helping residents with their daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes to the nursing team. You'll work alongside RNs and LPNs to keep our residents comfortable, dignified, and supported. Your work directly impacts how residents experience their day, from morning hygiene to evening comfort rounds.
What you'll do
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)—bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting—with sensitivity and respect
- Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
- Help residents move safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices; report any falls or injuries immediately
- Keep resident rooms clean, safe, and comfortable; change linens and manage personal care supplies
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests; communicate clearly with nursing staff about resident needs and concerns
- Observe and report changes in resident condition—appetite, mood, skin integrity, continence—to the nursing team
- Support residents during mealtimes and toileting; assist with hydration and nutrition as directed
- Follow infection control protocols, including hand hygiene and proper use of personal protective equipment
What you'll bring
- Genuine compassion for older adults and people with chronic conditions or cognitive changes
- Strong communication skills—you listen well and report concerns clearly to nursing staff and families
- Physical stamina and willingness to help with lifting, transferring, and standing for a full shift
- Attention to detail—you notice small changes and understand why they matter
- Teamwork and reliability—residents depend on you to show up and follow through
Why join us
- Work in a supportive nursing environment where your observations and input are valued
- Be part of a team committed to resident-centered care and dignity
- Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Meaningful work—you'll see directly how you improve residents' quality of life
- Flexible shift options to fit your schedule
Requirements
- Active New York State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) registration or Nurse Aide Registry certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely (up to 75 lbs, with assistance and proper equipment)
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for a full shift
- Willingness to work all shifts and days as assigned
- New York State Health Fingerprint Clearance
- TB/PPD test (or documentation of negative result within required timeframe)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption per facility policy
- Reliable transportation and ability to maintain consistent attendance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
