Quality Staffing CNA

Quality Staffing · all shifts · full time / part time / per diem · Campbell Hall, NY
$23.00–$26.00/hour

Quality Staffing NY is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team on a flexible schedule. We're looking for someone who takes pride in direct resident care and understands that the little moments—a kind word, a steady hand during a transfer, attention to comfort—make a real difference in our residents' lives.

As a CNA, you'll be the eyes and ears on the floor, working closely with our nursing and care teams to support residents across all levels of need. Whether you're assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, or reporting changes in a resident's condition, your work is essential to keeping our residents safe, comfortable, and dignified.

What you'll do

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living—bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting—with patience and respect for their independence and preferences
  • Help residents with mobility: transfers, ambulation, and repositioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report abnormal findings to nursing staff
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition—pain, confusion, skin breakdown, behavioral changes—to the nursing team immediately
  • Keep resident rooms clean, safe, and comfortable; manage linens, waste, and environmental safety
  • Provide emotional support and companionship; listen to residents and families with compassion
  • Follow infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and exposure precautions
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, communicating clearly with nurses, therapists, and other staff

What you'll bring

  • Genuine compassion for older adults and those with chronic illness or cognitive decline
  • Physical stamina and body mechanics awareness—you'll be on your feet, lifting and assisting residents safely
  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills; you notice small changes and report them
  • Clear communication and a collaborative spirit; you work well with nurses and the broader care team
  • Reliability and flexibility; you show up on time and adapt to changing resident needs throughout your shift

Why join us

  • Meaningful work: you directly improve residents' quality of life every day
  • Flexible scheduling: full-time, part-time, and per diem options to fit your life
  • Supportive team environment where nursing and care staff value your input and professional growth
  • Continuing education opportunities to advance your skills and career in healthcare
  • Competitive hourly pay: $23.00–$26.00/hour
  • A facility committed to resident-centered care and staff development

Requirements

  • Active New York State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) registration or Nurse Aide Registry status
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and assist residents weighing up to 250 lbs, using proper body mechanics
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for the duration of your shift
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Negative NYS Health Fingerprint clearance
  • Current TB/PPD test or chest X-ray per facility policy
  • Reliable transportation and ability to meet all scheduled shift times
